WELCOME TO ALEXIS VFD

Alexis Fire Department is a combination department, protecting approximately 40 square miles and operating out of two stations. The main station is located on Highway 27 in Alexis, NC and our substation is located on Old Plank Road in Iron Station, NC. Our membership is comprised of 45 personnel, most of which are volunteer. Along with the traditional responsibilities of a fire department we also are certified in medical and heavy rescue response, and respond to incidents as such. Since our inception 50 years ago, each member of the department proudly accepts the responsibility the department has to the citizens of the Alexis Fire District, to provide the best fire protection, emergency medical, and rescue services.

TAN204KER ASSISTS LUCIA RIVERBEND WITH STRUCTURE FIRE (GASTON CO)

Monday, April 6, 2015   Tanker 204 responded to the 100 block of Thornwood Ln to assist Lucia with a working structure fire. Lucia units arrived and found a garage fully involved. The structure was a total loss.

     



 

TAN204KER RESPONDS TO ASSIST COMMUNITY (STATION32) GASTON CO.

Saturday, March 14, 2015 23:29  Tanker 204 responded to assist Community VFD (station 32) on Howie Dr off of Old Hickory Grove Rd for a fully involved house fire.  Tanker 204 was called on second alarm assignment for water. Alexis  units cleared around 01: 03.

   


 

ENGINE 200 ASSISTS STATION 11 WITH STRUCTURE FIRE ( LINCOLN CO )

Friday, March 13, 2015 0630  Engine 200 responded to assist Pumpkin Center ( Station 11) with a working mobile home fire on Amity Lane. The home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. Boger City ( Station 4) also responded to assist.

     



 

RUBBER PLANT BURNS IN DENVER (LINCOLN CO)

Sunday, February 8, 2015 1500  Tanker 204 responded to assist East Lincoln with a massive fire just off N. Hwy 16.  A brush fire got out of control and spread to a nearby rubber plant. Departments from 4 counties responded to assist with this blaze.

     



 

ENG203INE RESPONDS TO ASSIST EAST LINCOLN WITH STRUCTURE FIRE (LINCOLN CO)

Sunday, February 8, 2015 0630  Engine 203 responded to assist East Lincoln Fire Dept with and early morning mobile home fire on Ridge Crest Dr off S. HWY 16. East Lincoln units arrived on the scene and reported fire and smoke showing.  Engine 203 supplied water and manpower and assisted with overhaul operations.  Lucia Riverbend also responded.

   


 

Working Camper Fire (Lincoln)

Wednesday, January 21, 2015  Alexis units were dispatched and responded to a structure fire on Sadler Rd in our Lincon Co. First due last night about 1930 hrs. Engine 203 arrived on scene and found the camper fully involved. Engine 201 and Tanker 204 also responded from Alexis. Assisting departments were East Lincoln and Lucia Riverbend. 

     



 

Combine Fire (Lincoln CO)

Tuesday, October 28, 2014  Brush 207 and Engine 203 responded to a combine fire. Brush 207 arrived to find a combine with moderate smoke showing from the cab and engine compartment. A quick knock down was preformed with minor damage to the combine. All units were clear of the scene in 40 minutes.

   


 

MOBILE HOME FIRE CHATEAU LN (LINCOLN COUNTY)

Friday, April 4, 2014 14:38  Alexis units responded to a reported structure fire, on Chateau Ln in Base 2's first due area. Engine 203 arrived and found a single wide mobile home fully involved. A defensive attack was ordered and the fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes. The Lincoln County Fire Marshal's Office was called out for investigation. East Lincoln and Lucia Riverbend Fire Departments assisted with water and manpower.

     



 

CHANGE TIME, CHANGE BATTERIES

Thursday, March 6, 2014  When you set your clock ahead Saturday night/Sunday morning, make sure to change the batteries in EVERY smoke detector in your home. A working smoke detector is a homeowners first defense in case of a house fire. Think Safe, Stay Safe!

   


 

ENGINE 203 RESPONDS TO ASSIST EAST LINCOLN WITH STRUCTURE FIRE (LINCOLN CO)

Wednesday, February 26, 2014 02:11:36   Engine 203 (Base #2) responded to assist East Lincoln Fire with a reported structure fire on Magnet Ln off Old Plank Rd. East Lincoln units arrived and found the residence fully involved. A defensive attack was made on the fire. Engine 203 arrived and provided water. There was no injuries reported and the residence was a total loss. Lucia Riverbend Fire Department also assisted with Tanker 314. Engine 203 was back in service at 04:04.
