Wednesday, October 20, 2010  Engine 200 assisted Lucia-Riverbend with a reported house fire on Whipporwill Ln off Stanley-Lucia Rd. Lucia Engine 311 arrived and reported a single story wood frame structure with heavy fire showing from a bedroom window. Engine 200 arrived and assisted with initial attack and search. The fire was contained to the bedroom with smoke damage in the house. East Gaston VFD arrived with Engine 303 and Squad 309 and lit the scene up and assisted with manpower. Other units that responded was Stanley VFD and Gaston County Fire Marshal's Office.
