Wednesday, January 27, 2010 13:41 - Engines 201 and 203 responded to the intersection of Mayberry Rd and Spencer Woods Dr for a reported MVA with pin-in. Engine 201 arrived to find a single vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a tree in a residences yard, with the driver D.O.A. Engine 203 arrived and assisted with manpower. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. NC Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Stanley Rescue was also on scene to assist. Alexis and Stanley Rescue units operated on scene for about one and a half hours.
